There aren't enough stars in the universe to rate this superlative show. Listen to the Eyes if you only have time for one song.

Incredible; easy one of the best shows I've ever heard from '82. Some highlights:

*Stagger Lee is probably the gutsiest song Garcia and Hunter ever wrote. One of the only examples I can think of an outright *sequel*, not a re-arranging, to an old folk song. Awesome approach here!
*Bertha to close the set - they pick up this dance-fever thing they can't shed for the remainder of the show.
*The Eyes is famous, yes, but don't overlook the 2nd set's secret weapon: Sailor > Saint. Lost Sailor is such a cool composition.

Thanks again CM for this remaster - sounds very, VERY clear -

I have Set II on cassette and listened to it at least a hundred times. What a treat to hear Set I in its entirety. Smokin’ entire show with great energy.

This was the last of the mid-west shows for many of us...the next show was far far west, Washington state.
This show was a gift and a good-bye to so many of us who had spent so much time sharing the music.
